Duties

The Staff Recruiter will effectively and creatively source and track prospective candidates for open and future positions across job families. He/she will consult with managers and HR Directors of schools/centers/departments to obtain information on open and upcoming positions and to identify and screen candidates for knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies. He/she will maintain a high level of interaction with hiring representatives and their delegates; provide range of services from referral of resumes to broader recruitment services. Perform necessary services for hiring officers to complete hire; effectively support University's Affirmative Action policies; research relevant data; analyze new hire salary determinations & provide consultation for new hire salaries. The Staff Recruiter will maintain a thorough knowledge of the wealth of University's resources & will clearly articulate to candidates total compensation package. He/she will support the creation and delivery of presentations to hiring officers on best hiring practices.He/she will Maintain and share knowledge of current recruitment and legislative changes and trends and share with HR community and hiring managers. Active participation in all Recruitment/HR related activities includes but not limited to CUPA, All Things Recruitment, HR Council, HERC meetings is expected. Staff Recruiter will maintain and promote knowledge and benefits of recruitment tools and technologies available to hiring managers.



Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Passion to place the right people in the right jobs preferred. Some familiarity /experience, with Internet recruiting tools and applicant tracking system required; Excellent communication, listening & assessment skills, strong customer orientation; knowledge of applicable laws & regulations helpful; high level initiative, judgment and creative ability to work in a fast changing HR field; keen technology skills needed. HR certification preferred. Relocation, onboarding and coaching experience are all a plus.
